Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we(that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
